2019 Christmas Events

We have fun, family- friendly Christmas events planned at the Santa Claus Museum & Village this holiday season. All events are free of charge with help from donations.

Storyteller Susan Fowler returns to kick off the Christmas season at the Santa Claus Museum & Village on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at 1:00 pm CT. Fowler will spin her tale of how the town of Santa Claus received its name, and present Clement C. Moore’s classic poem, A Visit from St. Nicholas, also known as The Night Before Christmas.  Fowler will also return for storytelling on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 10:30 am CT.

A free Christmas concert by Nashville duet Bomar and Ritter on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 1:30 pm CT.  The performance will be held in the historic Santa Claus Church, which will be decked out for the holidays with live greens and seasonal decorations.

Visitors are encouraged to stop by the Original Santa Claus Post Office, located at the Santa Claus Museum & Village, and write their letters to Santa Claus. Elf Sophia will be available on weekends to help children with their letters. Children wishing to mail their letters to Santa may send them to PO Box 1, Santa Claus, Indiana, 47579. All letters received by December 20, 2019 will be sent a response from Santa and the Elves.

The Santa Claus Museum & Village is a not for profit organization dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of the history of Santa Claus, Indiana, and continues the tradition of Santa’s Elves, Inc. by answering letters to Santa.
