In Memory of Philip Koch
By Kathleen Crews on April 9, 2013 in News with 2 Comments
We have lost a keeper of the holiday spirit today; Philip Koch passed away early this morning, April 9, surrounded by his family and friends. To borrow from the great Charles Dickens, ” it was always said of him that he knew how to keep Christmas well if any man alive possessed the knowledge.” He will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, as per Philip’s wishes, the family asks for donations to be made to the Santa Claus Museum. Philip was a train collector and enthusiast, and an antique historical train room will be created in his honor. For those wishing to send their condolences and donations, please address all correspondence to:
The Santa Claus Museum
PO Box 1
Santa Claus, Indiana 47579
Our thoughts are with the Koch Family during this difficult time.

To the Koch Family, Through ARVC I have known your husband, parent, brother, and family member Philip. He always seemed to enjoy himself, and the hospitality business. Our hopes and prayers go out to your famliy in hopes that you can remember he positively touched the lives of many. Additionally, this world is much better due to his time here.
